Visit the Farm
You want to take nice summer vacations with your kids? Come visit our farm of 130 elks!
It’s possible to visit the farm on appointments any time of the year, except during the months of May and June. Females give birth during that period, so we need to be close to the fawns during the birth and their first hours of life.
During your visit, you will have the chance to have a closer look at our animals. We will explain to you how we take care of the elks and will answer all your questions. The guided tour also includes a visit of the restraint cage system: a place used to help female giving birth when needed. We will also share anecdotes, like the story of the fawn that was abandoned by her mother and had to be bottle-raised. This elk is now tamed and you will have the chance to touch her!
Visits are very safe: elks are enclosed inside an 8-feet high pens that are forbidden to visitors.
Picture taking is allowed. We like when people send us their best ones.
The visit typically is at least one hour long, and we invite you to bring your lunch. Picnic tables are at your disposition until October and we can serve 16 persons all at once.
If you wish, the visit can also include a venison tasting. Please advise us of all nut allergies: if you are allergic to nuts, we can have you taste cretons, rillettes, or sausages instead of terrine.
It’s also possible to eat elk hamburgers or hot-dogs on the Farm, if you make a reservation 24 hours in advance. The cooking is done on the barbecue grill, and we sell them $3.00 each.
The visit costs $7.00 per person, but is free for children of 12 and under. The tasting of terrine is offered for $3.00 per person, but is free for children under 5 years old. Elk-burgers and elk-hot-dogs are sold $3.00 each.
